Wishing all of my customers a very happy and healthy Happy New Year!
This is my first blog post for my website and I am certainly no writer but I thought that I should keep you informed on the goings on at the ‘Heather Scott Jewellery’ workshop!
First of all, November and December at my workshop was utter mayhem although I would like to consider it as organised mayhem! Thank you so much to everybody for their custom and support of my business. It is such wonderful thing to support local/small businesses especially in the arts and crafts trade. It makes us all proper chuffed 🙂
So to start the new year and to try and recover from the complete lack of sleep from working during the festive period, I decided to have a break and take my family on a holiday to Madeira in search of a little slice of winter sun…and wow, what an adventure we had (including the plane landing were the pilot announced that it was his worst landing he had had in Funchal for 4 years, cue round of applause and huge sighs of relief!!!). It is such a beautiful island full of the most fascinating Flora and Fauna and jam packed with so many things to see and do…from toboggan rides down the streets in Monte (slightly scary but exhilarating) to visiting the beautiful volcanic rock seapools in Porto Moniz. It was certainly a holiday to remember. The villa that we stayed in was amazing, if you ever want to have a little bit of Madeiran luxury, I would certainly recommend these villas…www.villascamacho.com.
Now, it’s back to the workshop. First of all the aim is to restock all that has been sold in December and then to the exciting bit of designing and creating new items for my shop and website. I’ve got so many ideas floating around, I’m very much looking forward to having an experiment and see what I come up with…keep tuned!!!
Also, to celebrate the new year and as a big thank you for all of the custom from last year, here is a little treat to you…
